Hello! I am Parvati Parana, which is my spiritual name. Thank you for visiting my site. I became interested in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness in college-I was studying the law, and the amount of work it took really took a toll on me! I became depressed and unmotivated, to the point where I felt as if I couldn't continue my studies. Luckily, I had a professor who recognized that something was wrong, and sent me to see the University's psychologist. In her office, I learned about meditation. At first, I thought it was BS and approached it with the sort of disdain that one might have for math or sports (if those are not well suited to you). Eventually, though, I began journaling, and found a Yoga studio in my neighborhood (I live in the Lower Haight district of San Francisco). There, I met a woman who was very much into the metaphysical arts, and she took me under her wing and taught me a lot. We don't agree on everything (she is much more into the occult than I am, for instance), but otherwise, she was my first "guru."
Now that I am done with school and work as a junior attorney, I find my meditation and yoga to be even MORE important-to ground, especially before a big case, or the like. I've inducted others into my path, finding some like souls and some that needed to find their own way.
I believe very deeply in peace and love, and Karma, and the Rule of Three-what you put out into the world, you will recieve back three-fold.
Please enjoy your time here, and I hope you leave with a little bit of love.
Peace, Parvati.
